Joyride's private tours take you off-road through the wild Algarve — coastal fishing villages, hilltop trails, and places you'd never find on your own. You ride electric dirtbikes from our private track near Lagos, with an experienced guide who tailors the experience to your group.
Two routes to choose from. The Fishermen's Village Experience follows the southern coast, wild cliffs, and breathtaking views. The Pink Elephant Trail heads inland into the hills above Lagos, through wild terrain, quiet villages, and a landscape that feels like a different country. Both routes are available at beginner and intermediate levels.

Fishermen's Village Beginner: Coast Trail
Fishermen's Village Beginner Experience is a guided electric motorbike training and tour. If you can ride a bicycle, you can ride our bikes too.
Before heading to the coastal trail, you will get the gear — gloves, jersey, helmet, goggles, chest, elbow, and knee protection. Our experienced guide will teach you everything in a relaxed environment, on our private track. Our electric dirtbikes are lightweight, quiet, and a lot easier to ride than motocross.
Once the group is comfortable, we head to the south coast, on a mix of quiet roads and off-road trails. Because this is a beginner tour, we know where to keep things smooth. The focus is on exploring, not surviving. We do not ride fast, with a safe distance from the edges of the cliffs, and the guide always picks the safest trails, so you can focus on the fun and views.
In summer, bring your swimsuit. When it’s hot, and the Atlantic is calling, Oskar knows the quiet spots on the cliffs and beaches to jump in and refresh. He is also a certified kitesurfing instructor, surfer, and lifeguard, so no worries, you’re in the best hands.
Depending on the group’s choice, we stop in Luz for a coffee and snack or sit down for a proper meal. In summer, we recommend an afternoon ride with dinner. Summer meals require a reservation — you pick the place, we take care of the booking.
Expect wild clifftops with nothing but the Atlantic in front of you, hidden coves, charming fishing villages, and a lot of tips and recommendations from your guide. On this tour, we take our time. If the view is epic, we stop. If you want to rest, take a photo, or go slower or on an easier trail, it’s your call. This experience is made for you and your crew. There’s no rush.

Fishermen's Village Intermediate: Coast Trail
Fishermen’s Village Intermediate Experience is a guided electric motorbike tour on the south Algarve coast, for riders who are comfortable on two wheels and ready to go further. Before heading out, you will get the gear — gloves, jersey, helmet, goggles, chest, elbow, and knee protection. Your guide will run a warm-up session on our private track to get to know the group level, give tips on riding, and prepare for the trail ahead.
Once everyone is ready, we head to the coast for a joyride of mixed terrain. There are technical sections, charming towns, and a real off-road adventure. Because we adapt the trail to the group’s skill level, we always find the right balance between challenge and flow. The focus is on an exciting ride in beautiful scenery. It is not a hard enduro.
And there is a lot to see. This route takes you through Luz to Salema, with epic spots you probably would not reach on your own. We won’t give away too many secrets, so come and experience it yourself.
This experience is made for your group. The more skill and endurance you have, the more we can explore, but the guide always adapts the pace and trail to your crew. There is no map to show — it’s just an experienced guide who knows all the trails and your crew that sets the pace.

Pink Elephant Beginner Hills Trail

A small village with little to see, but there is one place worth a detour:

This one is for people who want to see a different side of the Algarve, away from the ocean. The Algarve is amazing beyond the coast, and this route proves it.
It starts at our base in Lagos. You will get the gear — gloves, jersey, helmet, goggles, chest, elbow, and knee protection. Your guide runs a relaxed training session on our private track, explains everything about the bike, and gets the group comfortable before heading out north of Lagos.
This route heads inland into the rolling hills of the Algarve — a mix of forest single tracks, open terrain, and dusty off-road trails. This is a beginner tour, so we will choose easy paths with some technical sections adapted to the group.
Along the way, there are things to find that we will not describe here. Some you can see, some you can interpret — let’s just say the pink elephant is not the strangest thing in these hills.

Barão de São João
A small village with a completely different vibe from anything on the coast. Artsy, local, unhurried. The kind of place where the coffee is good, and nobody is in a rush. Barão de São João is not very much of a tourist stop. The restaurants here run a daily prato do dia, the food is homemade, and the prices are far from the beach restaurants. That’s the side of the Algarve many tourists never experience.
Pink Elephant Intermediate: Hills Trail
Pink Elephant Trail Intermediate Experience is a guided electric motorbike tour for riders who are comfortable on two wheels and want to go deeper into the Algarve hills. Before heading out, you will get the gear — gloves, jersey, helmet, goggles, chest, elbow, and knee protection. Your guide runs a warm-up session on our private track before hitting the trails.
The hills have more to offer than most people expect. This route covers an open, varied terrain, forest single tracks, open hilltop runs, and technical sections with natural ups and downs. Because we know these trails well, we can always adapt the route to the group. More experience means more trail options. The guide reads the group and adjusts as the ride progresses.
Along the way, there are things to find that we will not describe here. Some you can see, some you can interpret — let’s just say the pink elephant is not the strangest thing in these hills.
The destination is Pedralva — a small, restored village that feels like it belongs to a different time. Stone houses, narrow lanes, no noise. It is the kind of place you would not find on your own. We get there on two wheels, through the countryside.

Sítio da Pedralva — the restaurant in the village, and the one we usually choose. Portuguese local dishes, quirky decor, and a tree growing right through the middle of it.
Pizza Pazza — casual pizzeria also in the village, good for groups that want something relaxed and easy. Open for dinner, cash only! Lunch only on Saturdays.
