TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Participant Requirements: 

1.1 Participants must hold a valid A or B driver's license. 

 

1.2 Participants must comply with all applicable Portuguese traffic laws and regulations when operating Sur‑Ron electric dirt bikes on public roads.

 

1.3 Participants must be physically fit and in good health to undertake the tour and weigh max. 100 kg/220 lbs (the bikes' limit).

 

1.4 Participants must inform the guide of any medical, physical, or other condition which in any way could affect the running of the tour or of any prescribed medication they take, or may need to take during the duration of a tour. This information will be used to ensure their safety.

 

1.5 Participants are responsible for their own safety and must adhere to all safety guidelines provided by the tour guide.

 

1.6 Each participant must fill in the registration form themselves and confirm that they read and agree to these terms and conditions.

 

1.7 Minors (16–17 years old) with A1 license may join the tour only with parental/guardian consent which may be provided either through our online booking process or signed in person. 

In such cases, the participant must have their own personal insurance, as Joyride Algarve insurance does not cover them. By giving consent, the parent/guardian confirms that the participant is aware of these Terms and Conditions and agrees to follow all points.

2. Safety Guidelines:

2.1 Participants must wear the provided safety gear, including helmets and any additional protective equipment.

2.2 Participants must follow the tour guide's instructions at all times. Ignoring instructions may result in immediate exclusion from the tour without refund.

​

2.3 Previous motorbike experience is not required to pilot the type of bikes used in the Joyride Algarve Tours.

​

2.4 Sobriety Requirement: Participants must undertake the tour with a clear and sober mind. Consumption of alcohol or any intoxicating substances before or during the tour is strictly prohibited. The tour guide reserves the right to deny participation to individuals who appear to be under the influence. The safety of all participants is paramount, and riding under the influence poses serious risks to oneself and others on the tour. Participants failing to meet this requirement may be excluded from the tour without a refund.

2.5 Right to Exclude:
Joyride Algarve and its representatives reserve the right to disqualify any participant whose actions, behavior, or general deportment:

• Impede the safe operation of the tour

• Endanger themselves or others

• Diminish the rights, welfare, or enjoyment of other participants

Refunds are usually not given in these circumstances. In rare cases where a refund is granted, the reimbursement will not exceed the cost of unused services.

3. Insurance:

3.1 Joyride Algarve provides personal accident insurance for participants 18 years and older for accidents occurring during the tour.

​

3.2 Minors with parental consent must have their own personal insurance, as Joyride Algarve insurance does not cover them.

​

3.3 Participants are responsible for any damage or loss to the Sur-Ron electric dirt bikes or other Joyride Algarve equipment caused by negligence, misuse, or violation of safety rules. Costs for repair or replacement will be charged to the participant. Joyride Algarve reserves the right to assess damage and determine costs.

3.4 Insurance does not cover injuries caused by participant negligence, failure to follow instructions, or violation of tour rules. Insurance does not cover theft, personal property loss, or third-party claims unless explicitly stated.

4. Tour Modifications:

4.1 The tour operator reserves the right to modify the itinerary or cancel the tour and exclude any of the participants in case of unforeseen circumstances, such as weather conditions or safety concerns.

4.2 Alternative arrangements, money refund, or a rescheduled tour will be offered in such cases. Joyride Algarve is not responsible for additional expenses incurred by participants due to modifications or cancellations beyond the company’s control.

5. Liability Waiver:

5.1 Acknowledgement of Risk:
By joining the Joyride Algarve Sur-Ron Tour, participants acknowledge that adventure tourism, including off-road riding on electric dirt bikes, carries inherent risks, including accidents, injuries, or property damage.

Participation is voluntary, and participants assume all risks associated with the activity.

5.2 Waiver of Claims:

In consideration of being allowed to participate, participants agree not to sue or hold Joyride Algarve, its staff, or representatives liable for any personal injury, accidents or incidents, damage or loss of personal property, and any other harm or loss arising during the tour, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct by Joyride Algarve.

5.3 Indemnification:
Participants agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Joyride Algarve, its staff, and representatives from any claims, losses, damages, or liabilities arising from their own actions or negligence; and violation of tour rules, safety guidelines, or applicable laws.​
 

6. Environmental Responsibility:

6.1 Participants must adhere to all environmental protection guidelines provided by the tour guide.

6.2 Littering, vandalism, or any form of environmental damage is strictly prohibited. Participants may be held financially responsible for any damage caused.

​

7. Photos and Videos

7.1 Photos and videos may be taken during our tours for promotional purposes. By participating, you consent to the use of these photos on our website and marketing materials. If you prefer not to be featured, please notify our staff at the start of the tour.

​​

7.2 Participants are responsible for their own personal devices and media. Joyride Algarve is not liable for loss, damage, or theft of personal items.

 

8. Cancellations

8.1 All cancellations must be communicated by email or phone 48 hours in advance to get a refund.
